Eleven years of copywriting experience

I've worked as a freelance writer since finishing university in 2009 with a degree in Creative and Professional Writing with Film Studies. I've completed many copywriting projects for a wide variety of businesses, charities and marketing agencies. Covering topics as diverse as travel, health, business, retail, insurance, technology, digital marketing and fair trade fashion, I am virtually guaranteed to one day win a pub quiz.

Writing for charities

Since 2015 I have also worked in-house in paid and voluntary communications roles at charities such as the British Red Cross, Scope, Freedom from Torture, Teach First and the Small Charity Coalition. This experience has given me insight into the communications challenges that non-profits face, and I'm keen to use this experience to assist third sector organisations. A little more about Chris

Originally from Lincolnshire, I've lived in London for six years and am currently based in New Cross. When I'm not tapping away at a laptop you can often find me exploring the city by bike, bopping away at gigs or checking out one of London's many great events.

Other writing work

In addition to my copywriting work, I have collaboratively published a children's picture book. I have also had many magazine articles published, and I was a regular freelance contributor to Writing Magazine for several years.

I have recently been keeping myself busy by writing short stories, stand-up comedy sets and sitcom treatments.
